Sad news that Lewis Moratori, well known speaker designer and one of Melbourne’s leading audio experts died on Saturday 28 February.

Sad news indeed. Built a great little system for my dad around Lewis’s little two ways purchased at the High End show in Melbourne years ago.My mate Geoff still has the next model up with the two woofers and they have remained with him whilst so much else has come and gone.
Surya at “the Absolute Sound” in Hawthorn would usually have the little 2 way speakers on demonstration. Even when surrounded by expensive Audio Note and other speakers Lewis’ little boxes sounded good.
At the Melbourne Audio Club last year we were entertained by a real high end system comprised of much of Lewis’ personal gear, he certainly understood good sound. Sadly missed.
